Sense of Spring written 4.4.2011

Wisteria Drifts in on the swift wind
Its heavy scent assaulting my senses
Letting there be no doubt
Spring is finally here.

Resurgance of Pain

The ex needed copies of legal papers asap.
Copies found, gone through, scanned, uploaded
Torture of Self ensued
Corked bottles of emotion were opened
Scars were torn
Stomach Roiling
Hate Renewed
I can't cry tho I want to.
I don't dare sleep
Yet I must for I am needed tomorrow.
The crumbled facade must be found and pieced together again.

Drowning in Depression

Set Jaw
Firm resolution
Look to the Bright side
I am FREE

I am alone,
I see no one thru the day
Nothing drives me much anymore

I have Avon
I need to build it
Make it my new job

I need to clean my home
Reclaim it for my own
Overcome the packrat in my soul

But I can't sleep at night
(that was MY store)
I can't seem to get anything done
(not good enough)
I call and call and get no answer
(did they ever really wanna talk to me to begin with)

I try to banish the bad thoughts from my mind
Replace them with good
But the optimism is being drowned
By the waves of depression
That roll over me like the unceasing tide

A bit of personal security for you and your friends

I have an issue.  I can understand the need to send chain emails on to your friends.  You read something you just got from a friend on whatever random topic and ya want to share it with someone else.  I can get that.  I don't mind that.  I have two requests.

First if it is something that is a "warning" or "facts" about our government, our society or a threat internal or external please please please take the time to research it.  You would be amazed at the unnecessary (insert bad emotion here) mongering going on via chain email.  I get enough of that via the tv, radio and internet.  If it is absolutely true and can be verified by multiple fact checking sites great send it on.  A couple of sites I use are Snopes, Factcheck.org and politifact.org.  I will also just google the general topic of the email to find more info.  You increase your own credability with the people you forward things to if you include your own investigations links with the email you are forwarding.

Second.  You see that BCC line in your email headers?  USE IT!!! Clean out the trailers of who forwarded to who and then forwarded to whoelse.  We don't need these peeps email addresses or their names.  If we don't know them we don't need contact information.  In the TO line put your own email address.  Ignore the CC line entirely.  Skip down to the BCC line (Blind Carbon Copy)  This allows you to send emails to a list of friends without everyone in that list learning email addresses they don't need to be learning.  I have friends who don't know, don't want to know and/or can't stand each other.  I would be doing some of these oh so shy friends a disservice when after all their efforts to keep their information private I go and blab their name and/or email addy to all my friends who may have links to other friends who have links to other friends who may use that information without permission or maliciously.

Freedom of Speech

Its kinda hard to post something here when one has seen the news.  A teacher fired for what she posted in her blog.  Can I post here without worry for my own job? Have often thought that perhaps I might be able to show the public what I see from my side of the counter and perhaps make a difference in my customers. maybe even someone else's.  Now I am not so sure.  People are so sensitive, so "politically correct."  No matter what you say someone is going to be offended.  Perhaps its time to stop walking on eggshells around the general public and just be yourself.  I am not saying be rude.  I am just saying use a bit of common sense and say what you mean instead of dancing around it with fancy vocabulary.  I am what I am, You are what you are, Everyone else is what they are and it is what it is... whatever it is.

First Post

Crisp white page
Beautiful in its newness
Hesitation in dropping the pen
Fear of the written word
Of limitation
Of not being good enough
Misinterpretation
Of criticism
Condemnation
